Our Story
Jerry Noonan's Auto Center is a family owned and operated automotive repair and service center, as well as collision repair company. They have been in business serving Monroe Township NJ and the surrounding communities since March 1, 1987.
From a young age Jerry Noonan was always a hard working individual, holding multiple jobs at a time. He always had the dream of one day owning his own shop. Working on cars was a passion of Jerry’s as well as helping people. One day as he was driving through the township of Monroe he came upon a gas station, and with that an opportunity presented itself. Although he faced some challenging situations, Jerry’s dream became a reality when
he opened Jerry Noonan’s Half Acre Mobil. He was only 26 at the time with a wife and a two year old son.
Jerry and his wife Tracy were now business owners. Neither of them were educated in business but somehow they knew what to do. Most of their earlier customers were family, and friends of family, but that soon changed. Residents of Monroe Township and the surrounding areas were becoming customers. Thanks to those amazing people, Jerry Noonan’s Half Acre Mobil was growing.
In 1990, Jerry and Tracy purchased the current location at 251 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township NJ. The new location was not much bigger than the gas station but it was something they could change as they were owners of the property. By this time the name of the business was now Jerry Noonan's Auto Center.
During the years that followed, the couple welcomed a baby girl, became incorporated and were working on improving the building. They had hopes of providing their team members and customers with a more comfortable environment equipped with the latest technology. A place where all the needs of everyone could be met.
In 2002, with much thanks and appreciation to their team members and loyal customers, they were able to renovate their building to encompass 14 bays and expand their services to include auto body and collision repair.
They have been fortunate to be able to create this state-of-the-art automotive facility which caters to the needs of their customers. Providing automotive repair, preventative maintenance, auto body and collision, NJ state inspections and re-inspections, tires, and diagnostics are just a few of the services they offer.
The drawing to the right was done by Jerry and Tracy’s son, Michael
when he was 5 years old. Michael grew up to work for the company
as well as their daughter Maranda.
A true family business working alongside 10 awesome team members,
together serving the community for 37 years.
